Our Team
We are a team of leading experts in climate change, comprising scientists, policy experts, finance specialists, and carbon market experts. We work in partnership with scientific organizations, universities, governments, and think tanks to develop and test rigorous and holistic ratings methodologies, leveraging the latest technology.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer Lead to join our team and help us improve our current CMS technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for building systems to automate the creation of ratings for carbon offset projects, driving the architecture and tooling forward, and transforming our CMS to be fit for purpose in ensuring we can scale for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead other engineers to understand customer and engineer pain points and develop solutions to address them.
- Build underlying infrastructure to ensure all data created goes into our data platform for customer-facing applications.
- Develop backend systems, improve existing systems, and create great developer and user experiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive the vision of improving user experience and developer experience.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in building backend systems.
- Background in PHP, Python, or Typescript.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
