Job Overview

We're seeking a talented Junior Imaging Scientist to join our R&D team at CT19, where you'll play a key role in developing innovative medical imaging solutions.

This exciting opportunity will see you contribute to the analysis and enhancement of 3D X-ray imaging across various applications, including orthopaedic, dental, veterinary, and non-destructive testing.

You'll collaborate with a talented group of scientists and engineers, developing a broad range of skills while driving advancements in imaging techniques.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute experiments to showcase existing imaging capabilities
  • Analyze results to inform product development, including reviewing relevant literature
  • Work closely with the Imaging Scientist to design and carry out formal imaging tests during product development
  • Assist in developing new tomosynthesis X-ray imaging techniques for both medical and non-medical applications, while contributing to the generation of intellectual property
  • Support the broader team with imaging tasks and analysis
  • Engage with existing and prospective customers to understand their imaging needs and demonstrate our products, either onsite or at customer locations
  • Develop prototype image processing tools for R&D purposes

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or C++ preferred)
  • Familiarity with image processing tools and techniques
  • Strong data analysis skills, including image quality assessment
  • Experience in planning and executing experiments independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and scientific findings to both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
