Core Linux Engineer

Quant Capital is seeking a highly skilled Core Linux Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quantitative trading platform development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance Linux systems that power our complex proprietary trading systems.

About the Role

  • Design and implement high-performance Linux systems for our quantitative trading platform
  • Develop and maintain Linux-based automation tools to reduce human error and increase efficiency
  • Collaborate with our team of talented Linux engineers, admins, and programmers to improve and build a best-in-class platform
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux and programming concepts, including C, sockets, virtual memory, and modern Linux programming

Requirements

  • Strong background in STEM education, ideally Computer Science
  • Deep and fundamental knowledge of operating systems, predominantly Linux
  • Experience with Linux systems design, networking protocols, and programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell, or other functional languages
