BMG Rights Management Services (UK) Limited is a pioneering company in the music industry, and we're seeking an exceptional Digital Marketing Director for Catalogue Recordings to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital marketing landscape for iconic musicians. You'll be responsible for crafting innovative campaigns that engage global audiences, leveraging social media platforms, digital advertising, and other cutting-edge strategies.

About the Role:

  1. You will lead the digital marketing efforts for catalogue recordings in the UK, ensuring effective campaign execution and advising on best practices.
  2. Your expertise will drive the success of three digital marketing team members, fostering collaboration and excellence within the team.
  3. You'll oversee digital marketing campaigns, including social media activations, content creation, and reporting on key performance indicators.
  4. With our in-house ads team, you'll book and optimize digital advertising, analyzing results to inform future strategies.
  5. As a key representative of the UK catalogue digital marketing team, you'll communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, artist management, and external partners.
  6. You'll manage relationships with 3rd-party vendors for social media, content, and creative services.
  7. A critical aspect of this role is providing regular reporting and analysis on campaign progress, highlighting areas of success or improvement for the marketing team and product owners.
  8. Being proactive and organized is crucial, particularly during store turns and product launches.
  9. You'll form strong connections with platform partners, artist management, and digital sales colleagues to ensure aligned strategies.
  10. Additionally, you'll contribute to the global digital marketing team by sharing learnings, developments, and experiences.
  11. This position requires adherence to the overall UK digital marketing strategy and supporting the global digital marketing team's success for BMG.

Your Profile:

  • You possess an in-depth understanding of popular music history and its evolution.
  • Significant experience in running digital marketing campaigns for artists is essential.
  • You're proficient in technical aspects of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
  • Prior experience with digital music tools like smart-linking, analytics, and charting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • You excel in respectful, honest, and confident communication, with experience working within teams and managing others.
  • A bonus point if you have some experience and knowledge of image and video editing using Adobe Suite programs like Photoshop and Premiere.
  • Passion for the music industry, including familiarity with various genres and up-to-date knowledge on the current industry status quo, is essential.
