Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Lift and Escalator Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Schindler Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lift and escalator equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of lift and escalator equipment, including minor repair work and replacement of components.
- Rectify and reduce faults on lift and escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
- Conduct thorough inspections and checks to ensure lift and escalator equipment is functioning correctly, including speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supplies.
- Carry out advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using technical manuals and test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
- Work in accordance with Schindler Group's safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience in lift and escalator servicing, maintenance, or repairs preferred.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift and escalator maintenance or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards Schindler Certification Level 3 Red.
- Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills at different levels (client, service leader, inspectors).
- Manual dexterity and ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good administration skills and punctuality.
- Full UK driving license.
