Business Intelligence VBA Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence VBA Developer to join our Controlling Department at Lidl. As a Business Intelligence VBA Developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting internal stakeholders and senior management by delivering outstanding insight to generate business value that exceeds stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support internal stakeholders and senior management by delivering outstanding insight to generate business value that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
  • Work with our Controlling colleagues to provide support for all national departments by generating targeted reporting and analysis.
  • Develop, test, and implement solutions such as reporting or tooling, to provide the business with the ability to gain insight from data.
  • Gather, transform, and analyse data from various sources, both internal and external to create new insight.
  • Utilise statistical methods to create predictive models as well as identify patterns and trends in data.
  • Prepare and deliver solutions to effectively communicate trends and develop forecasts to the business.
  • Define and support governance for new methods of data retrieval, through documentation and training of processes.
  • Manage your own projects end-to-end: defining requirements, conducting test cases, demonstrating value, and supporting implementation/adoption.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues across the business to ensure understanding and trust in our solutions and insights.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of VBA essential.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or SQL desirable.
  • The ability to work on projects and solve problems independently.
  • Experience of project and stakeholder management.
  • Keen eye for detail and good quality control.
