About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join our residential care team. As part of this role, you will work with children and young people who require support due to challenging behaviors, and provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their emotional well-being, education, and independence.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in residential care settings, and possess the skills and knowledge to implement effective strategies to manage risk and promote positive outcomes.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the home, including planning shifts, directing staff, and maintaining accurate records. Your expertise in safeguarding and child protection will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications, such as the Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce Diploma, and have experience working in residential care settings. You will be required to attend training sessions and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £34,812 per annum, rising to £35,662 on completion of a successful probation period. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your career in residential childcare, working with a passionate and committed team who share your values and commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

">Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people who exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as the Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce Diploma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage risk and promote positive outcomes.

Salary: £34,812 - £35,662 per annum
