Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Architect to join our team at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). As a member of our Computing Centre department, you will play a key role in designing and implementing our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational support and troubleshooting of our cloud environment
  • Ensuring efficient monitoring and backup processes
  • Independent setup, operation, and maintenance of our cloud system, including patching, updating, and monitoring
  • Sound knowledge of scripting (Python, PowerShell) and containerization of servers and services (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Basic security mindset, including data protection, proxy servers, and API gateways
Requirements
  • Successfully completed technical master's degree with a focus on computer science
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home
