Senior Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Grade Psychiatrist to join our team at HMP Exeter. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to prisoners, working closely with other healthcare professionals and prison staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the mental health needs of prisoners, including those in the segregation unit and wing cells.
- Liaise with external services to arrange care plans, aftercare, and transfers to hospital as required.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and service managers.
- Provide out-patient clinics as needed.
