We are recruiting for a Mental Health Care Coordinator at a NHS hospital in Shrewsbury. This role involves supporting adults 18+ with various mental health conditions, promoting their independence and well-being through daily assistance and activities.


The role requires flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Shift patterns are as follows:



  • 07:00 - 15:00
  • 07:30 - 15:30
  • 12:00 - 20:00
  • 12:30 - 20:30
  • 21:30 - 07:30

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Experience working in mental health hospitals (Essential)
  • CPI restraint training (Essential)
  • DBS on update service (Desirable)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions

Key responsibilities include:



  • Encouraging new skill development
  • Attending appointments
  • Providing personal care
  • Enabling independence through daily assistance with tasks such as finances, shopping, cooking, and cleaning
  • Organizing activities
