About the Role

We are currently assisting a well-established client in the finance sector who are seeking a Senior Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent contract. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in producing financial reports, managing project profitability, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures related to Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Employee requirements.
  • Assist the Project Management Office (PMO) in accurately reflecting projects and their profitability, and support fortnightly project reviews.
  • Help develop reports for monitoring spend and performance in the supply chain, and report on cost-down programs.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including variance to budget, and a monthly reporting pack.
  • Prepare information for monthly Board Meetings.
  • Ensure weekly financial and project information is produced accurately, including reports for managers.
  • Produce a weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Attend and present at weekly Senior Project Team (SPT) & Commercial Management Meeting (CMM) meetings and commercial reviews.
  • Develop reporting for SPT projects to ensure profit margins are met.
  • Review and ensure efficiency in processes within Accounting Management System (AMS) & Sage.
  • Conduct monthly routines in Sage & AMS in a timely manner.
  • Monthly visits to another branch to ensure procedures are followed correctly.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and budgets & forecasts.
  • Provide cover for the Finance Team, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Essential experience with an integrated computer system.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Desirable experience of Sage 200.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent telephone manner.
