About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Secretary to provide administrative support to our Breast Department team at Wansbeck General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive secretarial service, including transcription, administrative, and secretarial support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a full secretarial service to the Breast Consultants and wider clinical teams.
- Transcribe and manage clinical and non-clinical documents, including advanced typing and transcription of documents.
- Manage diaries, arrange and minute meetings, and communicate with GPs and patients.
- Support the effective utilization of OP clinic capacity and manage patient journeys, including target administration, GP referrals, and 18-week RTT.
- Support the Lead Secretary with induction and training of new staff and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
- Typing qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of IT packages and their applications, including G2 software package.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
