Marine Broker Role

We are seeking a skilled Marine Broker to join our team in Manchester. As a Marine Broker, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders in the marine insurance market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and underwriters
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to clients and branches
  • Presenting insurance terms and conditions to clients and networks
  • Reviewing and improving insurance submissions
  • Managing relationships at both branch and client levels
  • Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients
  • Administering global risks and placements
  • Supporting the development goals and day-to-day functions of the UK Marine Team

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of insurance principles
  • Knowledge of Cargo/Goods in Transit Insurance and the Marine Insurance market is desirable
  • Experience of handling client relationships
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation
  • A willingness to learn and develop
