As a specialist in quality fashion footwear and accessories, The Dune Group has established a unique position at the high end of the high street, celebrating its 30th anniversary and boasting an enviable reputation for excellence.
About the RoleThe Fulfilment Manager will be responsible for leading the physical operations in both Retail and International areas, ensuring timely stock availability and demand fulfillment within required timelines. This will involve overseeing a team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors, who in turn manage DC operatives.
The Retail and International physical operations span over 100,000 sqft, with 30 operatives. To optimize synergies, the Fulfilment Manager will take a holistic view of physical operations across the entire DC.
This position is ideal for a Shift Manager looking to step up into a senior management role, with a salary of c.£40,000 negotiable based on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall flow of stock through both Retail and International warehouses.
- Lead the team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors, ensuring they are targeted and developed as necessary.
- Implement processes and ways of working to leverage synergies across the whole DC and eliminate silo working.
- Manage required headcount, with the provision of additional resource as needed.
- Control DC functions to ensure all KPIs and SLAs are met.
- Maintain required Health and Safety standards within the operation.
- Deliver a process of continuous improvement by leading and driving change to increase site efficiencies and deliver best service to the business.
- Maintain clear productivity records to monitor UPH and drive improvements.
- Ensure all physical DC operations are undertaken in line with audited processes to ensure compliance with HMRC and AEO regulations, as well as conditions of the DC customs bond.
- Manage costs and expenditure within agreed budgets and take full accountability for operational costs associated with physical operations.
- Present outbound shipments in line with specified customer requirements.
- Support other DC departments as required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience at DC department manager level.
- Extensive experience of operating in a Retail DC environment.
- Experience of working with both UK and overseas customers.
- Demonstrable ability to develop teams and individuals to maximize their full potential.
- Proven track record in developing operational efficiencies and process improvements within a warehouse environment.
- Strong people management skills.
