Early Years Practitioner Role

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support our after-school club. This role offers the potential for additional hours and overtime, providing a great opportunity for those looking to expand their experience in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the after-school club, creating a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Plan and implement activities that cater to the needs of children after regular school hours.
  • Support the emotional and social development of children, ensuring a supportive environment.
  • Maintain communication with parents and guardians about their children's activities and development.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in early years or childcare.
  • Experience in an early years setting, preferably with after-school care.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Up-to-date paediatric first aid certification would be beneficial.
