Legal Cashier Opportunity

Reed Accountancy is partnering with a reputable Law Firm to find an experienced Legal Cashier to join their finance team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Legal Cashier and be fully compliant with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist staff with accounts queries and provide support to the finance team.
  • Process daily financial payments, receipts, and transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform day-end balancing procedures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Process credit card payments and make bank and cheque payments.
  • Reconcile petty cash payments and balance petty cash accounts.
  • Calculate deposit interest and maintain the purchase ledger.
  • Process employees' expenses claims and invoices.
  • Liaise with file handling departments regarding accounting transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules within the team.
  • Reconcile disbursement supplier statements as required.
  • Liaise with clients and debtors to resolve any financial issues.

This is a full-time office-based role with parking provided on site. The firm offers a friendly working environment and a competitive salary package.
