Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a large primary school in Sunderland. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in the planning and implementation of lessons and activities.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support their learning and development.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and equipment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in education or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
