English Subject Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English subject specialist to work closely with students on a 1-1 basis, providing high-quality English sessions to maximise their potential across the subject. This role may involve working with children outside of a mainstream setting.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging English sessions to pupils who are currently working below expectations.
- Apply various behavioural strategies to ensure pupil engagement.
- Awareness of each child's needs and interests, using this to create a child-centred approach to learning.
- Assess pupils, provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes and plan next steps.
- Professional teaching qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS) preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge of the English Curriculum.
- Experience working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional needs.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS or willingness to purchase one via Teaching Personnel.
- Flexible part-time hours to suit your schedule.
- Extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities, including training on our bespoke pupil tracking system.
- Weekly pay through PAYE, eliminating fees from umbrella companies.
- 'Recommend a Friend' scheme allowing you to earn money by nominating colleagues for work.
£25,000 - £35,000 per annum based on experience and location.
