Role Overview:

The Weights Engineer will be responsible for executing engineering tasks within their area of expertise, overseeing both personal and team deliverables. This role involves collaborating with your line manager to establish an efficient work plan and applying optimal engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute engineering tasks, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with your line manager to develop a work plan that utilizes the most effective engineering methodologies.
  • Maintain the technical integrity of your work and that of your team, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders to uphold the interests of the team and organization.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Weights Engineering tools and processes, aligning with the discipline's capability development framework.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of aircraft structures and systems, including weight management processes and methods.
  • Degree, HND, or HNC in a STEM field or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Experience in Weights Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related airframe disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role is a plus.
