Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery, maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety regulations, and continuously learning and improving their skills.
Key Responsibilities
Excellent Menu Knowledge
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our menu, promotions, drinks specifications, restaurant layout, and site-specific working practices.
Lead by Example
Take ownership of the floor, showcasing a proactive and dedicated approach to duties. This involves overseeing tasks, managing responsibilities effectively, performing additional duties assigned by management, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant operations.
Bar Expertise
Be cross-trained on the bar to provide assistance when needed and support with maintaining high cleaning standards, creating a flexible working environment.
Welcoming Guests
Assist in welcoming guests to our café and bar, giving that first great impression setting the tone for their visit.
Feedback and Improvement
Provide feedback to managers regarding any guest comments, positive or negative, to enhance overall service quality.
Allergy Procedures and Legislation
Adhere to Bill's Allergy procedures and legislation guidelines at all times, ensuring the safety of guests with allergies and dietary requirements.
Company Updates
Keep informed of all company and restaurant-specific updates by attending meetings or utilizing other communication channels.
Front-of-House Cleanliness
Diligently maintain cleanliness in all front-of-house areas, including regular checks on guest toilets, to present all indoor and outdoor restaurant areas in the best possible way.
Correct Procedures and Safe Working
Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning and adherence to correct procedures and operating systems, including staying informed about Bill's specific protocols and incorporating safe working practices into daily responsibilities.
Health and Safety Guidelines
Actively put health and safety guidelines into practice, demonstrating a strict commitment to prioritizing the well-being of oneself and others in the restaurant. Ensure that safety measures are consistently applied to create a secure environment for everyone, including guests.
Collaboration and Efficiency
Work closely with the entire restaurant team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, involving effective communication and cooperation to create a harmonious restaurant atmosphere.
Food and Drinks Timings and Specifications
Closely monitor the timing and quality of food and beverages, promptly notifying managers of any potential issues or concerns.
Training and Development
Take responsibility for completing all mandatory and job-specific training to perform tasks safely and correctly, engaging proactively in continuous learning to enhance job knowledge and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace. Assist with training new employees as needed.
Prioritizing Guest Service
Prioritize guest service at all times, following guest service steps, and maintaining a positive attitude with a friendly smile.
Efficient Opening and Closing Duties
Maintain efficiency by completing all opening and closing duties for the restaurant meticulously, ensuring a smooth start and end to each day's operations, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is around £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Location
This role is based in our restaurant, located in a busy area with a high footfall. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests and colleagues daily.
