Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker - Exclusion Room to join our team in a large, friendly, and creative institution in North West London. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing the supervision of both pupils and staff in the exclusion room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the supervision of both pupils and staff in the exclusion room.
- Visit students in their lessons to address any behaviour-related issues.
- Ensure appropriate work is available for students in the exclusion room.
- Maintain accurate behaviour records through SIMS and other relevant systems.
- Uphold high standards of pupil behaviour in the exclusion room.
- Implement strategies to support the re-integration of students back into classroom lessons after removal.
- Provide necessary support to students with their work.
- Assist with school impositions and their follow-up as required.
- Liaise with parents and caregivers regarding exclusions and general behaviour matters.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school environment.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records using systems like SIMS.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of student behaviour.
- Proactive approach to supporting student re-integration into classroom lessons.
