Biomedical Scientist Lead

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead the histology section and deputise for the head of fibril typing as required. This role offers an unprecedented opportunity to work in a cutting-edge laboratory setting, providing a highly specialised, cohesive, high-quality laboratory service.
Main Responsibilities- Carry out diagnostic histology tests for amyloid and interpret prepared histological and immunohistochemistry slides.
- Lead and supervise a team comprising biomedical scientists and technicians.
- Implement UKAS standards and contribute to the development of new technologies and methodologies.
- BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent experience at Specialist BMS level.
- HCPC State Registration and Master's degree or related professional healthcare qualification.
- Significant experience in amyloid pathologies and diagnostic techniques, as well as supervising/training staff.
We are offering a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
