Medical Evaluator

Are you a skilled nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedic looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Medical Evaluator with GAIA RECRUITMENT LIMITED. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of claimants' health conditions and disabilities to determine their eligibility for disability benefits.
You will be working remotely, using your exceptional observational and communication skills to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life. Your reports will be instrumental in informing decisions made by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
We offer a 12-week training program, ongoing development opportunities, and a competitive salary of £38,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus a 5% retention bonus. On achieving remote-approved status, your salary will increase to £39,900, and up to 10% bonus. After achieving face-to-face delivery status, your salary will rise to £41,500, plus up to 10% bonus.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN
- Excellent observational and communication skills, including the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper
- The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
- Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems like MS Teams
