About the Role

Dibden Park School is a brand-new institution based in Southampton, providing education and care to students with social and emotional mental health and other complex needs. As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and personal development of our students.

As a dynamic and motivated qualified Teacher, your passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils and young people will be essential in this role. You will have the opportunity to live up to your ambition, responding to the needs of each individual as you help them flourish and thrive.

You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working with us, you will be able to create a nurturing learning environment designed around each individual's needs, spending quality time with each pupil.

  • Participate in Safeguarding and Team Teach training and be vigilant of the pupils' well-being and welfare in any interactions with pupils.
  • Take responsibility for teaching three disciplines: History, Geography, and RE.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of pupils and support their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
