Environmental and Sustainability Advisor

Teamwork IMS is seeking a skilled Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients to identify strategies and actions needed to minimize their environmental impact and implement sustainable business practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver client engagements, manage client expectations, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Conduct site energy audits to support clients in maximizing efficiencies and reducing energy and carbon emissions.
  • Analyze energy consumption and carbon emission data to provide energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and cost-saving recommendations.
  • Advise clients on reducing their environmental impacts, energy and carbon reduction, roadmaps to carbon neutrality, and Net Zero, with best practice sustainable strategies.
  • Support clients with regulatory compliance by producing reports for Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS), Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting (SECR), and other environmental and carbon disclosure requirements.
  • Audit and support clients with implementing environmental and energy ISO standards – ISO 14001, ISO 50001.
  • Support clients with other carbon and sustainability schemes, such as EcoVadis, TCFD, CDP.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a UK-based environmental/energy auditing and/or consulting/management role.
  • Developing GHG Inventories (carbon footprints) aligned to international methodologies and programs.
  • Experience with conducting and leading energy audits.
  • Technical understanding of energy and carbon reduction and efficiency methods.
  • Developing and implementing energy and carbon reduction plans and reports for regulatory ESOS, SECR, and PPN06/21.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental and sustainability management systems.
  • In-depth understanding of energy management in buildings.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Fluent verbal and written English for clear and coherent communication of sustainability concepts.
