Environmental Sustainability Specialist

At Thames Water, we're committed to delivering life's essential service while minimizing our impact on the environment. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our AMP8 ambitions and beyond. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing sustainability across various project stages
  • Providing technical expertise and input into project definition briefs, asset surveys, and plant condition assessments
  • Communicating the requirements of current relevant environmental legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Embedding a continuous improvement approach to support upgrading our environmental standards

As a key member of our environmental engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from feasibility studies to preliminary designs. You'll also be responsible for promoting continuous improvement of environmental and carbon performance across all projects.

We're looking for someone with a degree in engineering or a related field, as well as a background in project delivery or construction and asset operation. If you have a passion for environmental challenges and sustainable development, we'd love to hear from you.

As a member of our team, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, 26 days' holiday per year (increasing to 30 with length of service), and a contributory pension scheme. You'll also have access to our benefits hub, which offers a range of discounts and information to support your wellbeing.
