Precision Component Assembler

We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Component Assembler with a minimum of 5 years' experience to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with various sheet metal processes to form, adjust, and assemble precision components.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience using specialized tools and equipment to shape and finish metal parts to exacting standards.

  • Cut, bend, and form sheet metal components using manual and powered tools such as shears, brakes, and presses.
  • Adjust and shape formed components using English wheels, shrink/stretchers, rollers, crimpers, and mallets.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to fabricate parts to precise specifications.
  • Operate sheet metal machinery, including press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and CNC equipment.
  • Assemble and fit sheet metal parts, ensuring all components meet required dimensions and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and setup of fabrication equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in meeting project timelines.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products, checking for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to tolerances.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, shaping, and adjusting components.
  • Proficiency in using specialized tools such as English wheels, shrink/stretchers, rollers, crimpers, and mallets for precision shaping.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, with an eye for detail and precision.
  • Experience working with various materials such as aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
