About this Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our team at New Options Autism School - Southview in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues and collaborate with staff, parents, and other agencies to ensure pupils with SEN receive suitable support and high-quality teaching.
- Advise on the graduated approach to providing SEN support and differentiated teaching methods suitable for individual pupils.
- Support pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team providing specialist education for young people aged 5-11 with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.
As a SENCo, you will work closely with the Headteacher and therapy team to develop and implement the school's SEND policy, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in improving the quality of provision in an area you have led, with a proven record of impact regarding SEN and success in achieving progress for disadvantaged students.
