About the Role:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a mental health hospital based in Scotland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental illness and/or personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Support junior occupational therapy staff and students in their professional development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of occupational therapy services within the site, under the supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist.
  • Design and deliver therapeutic activities for service users, promoting their engagement and participation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to service users, carers, and other disciplines to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient-related activities and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant clinical experience working with mental illness and/or personality disorders.
  • Extensive knowledge of occupational frames of reference and approaches.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical reasoning and decision-making.
  • Specialized knowledge of assessment and treatment models.
  • Ability to work effectively with neurodiverse individuals.
