Research Fellow Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Fellow to join our team at Brunel University London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel antimicrobials to tackle wound infections.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a prospective Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on developing novel ace-K loaded hydrogel and aerogel formulations to combat wound infections. The successful candidate will work closely with other researchers within the McCarthy Lab and with industrial and scientific partners in other centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement novel antimicrobial strategies to tackle wound infections
  • Conduct research and experiments to test the efficacy of novel ace-K loaded hydrogel and aerogel formulations
  • Collaborate with other researchers to achieve project goals
  • Prepare and submit research outputs for peer-review publication
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in a relevant discipline, experience and knowledge in the field of biofilm formation, and a keen interest in drafting research outputs for peer-review publication. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, well-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
