Security Guard Opportunity at 2 Sisters Food Group

We are seeking a skilled and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at 2 Sisters Food Group in West Bromwich. As a key member of our security team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our site, employees, and assets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the site perimeter to monitor CCTV and detect any potential security breaches.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and report them to relevant site contacts.
  • Monitor all entrances to the site and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Challenge personnel on site to confirm their authorization to be there.
  • Support site colleagues with requests for CCTV footage or playback recordings for internal investigations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, completing necessary documentation and briefings.
  • Communicate arrival of visitors and contractors to relevant site colleagues and escort them as required.
  • Escalate issues as necessary and participate in site projects to ensure security requirements are considered.
  • Represent the company in matters related to security with external regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Monitor site mechanical functions and alarms, acting as the initial point of contact for emergency situations.
  • Undertake other tasks to maintain site security standards and directives.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years in a Food Manufacturing environment in a security role.
    • Demonstrable track record of safeguarding a food factory.
    • Experience with receiving, directing, and signing in visitors.
    • Experience working with demanding retail or similar customer base.
    • Good level of knowledge with regards to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Skills
    • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet factory requirements.
    • Good communication skills and attention to detail, able to influence internally and externally.
    • Excellent written and spoken English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
    • Able to prioritize and organize own workload and work to time deadlines.
    • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and highly resilient.
    • Act with integrity at all times.
Package Description:

Immediate starts available
Hours of work: Friday, Saturday & Sunday days – 06.30 18.30 or 18.30 – 06.30 when on nights (available to cover different site on request)
Pay rates: £12.26
