Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths Teacher to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering accredited learning to young people undertaking Maths study programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of Maths courses to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rated level.
  • Develop young people-centred teaching, learning and assessment strategies to increase retention, achievement, and progression.
  • Follow all processes relating to qualifications and examinations, including registration and submissions to validating bodies.
  • Understand and comply with Shaw Trust's Safeguarding Policy and related procedures.

Requirements

  • Qualified to deliver Maths qualifications.
  • Possession of a relevant teaching or training qualification.
  • Experience of teaching on and assessing accredited Maths qualifications from Entry Level to Level 3.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service skills.
  • An ongoing interest in and knowledge of recent developments in Maths provision.

Working Arrangements

This role will be based within a prison setting, working Monday to Friday.
