Kirklees Council is committed to delivering high-quality services to its children and families. We are seeking a skilled social work practice specialist to join our team and support the development of our assessment and intervention teams.
Salary
The salary for this role is £45,441 - £47,420 per annum for full-time hours or £22,720 - £23,710 per annum for part-time hours.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced social worker who can provide leadership and direction to our staff. As a practice supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small team of social workers and family support workers. Your expertise will enable them to deliver exceptional services to our children, young people, and their families.
You will be expected to share your knowledge, provide guidance, and contribute to the development of our social work practice. In return, we offer a comprehensive induction program, dedicated supervision, and opportunities for continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguarding children and promoting their welfare
- Supporting the development of others through mentoring and coaching
- Improving standards of social work practice
- Chairing multi-agency meetings
- Offering high challenge and high support to colleagues
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Social Work England (SWE) recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with SWE. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will also be required.
