Join Our Team as a Director of Digital, Data

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital, Data to lead our technology strategy and operations at MICHELIN Connected Fleet. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our digital transformation and ensuring the success of our technology initiatives.

About the Role

The Director of Digital, Data will be responsible for:

  • Defining and executing our global technology strategy to support our business goals
  • Leading our technology operations, including partnership management, program management, and operational troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with our Service and Solution (SES) Technology department to ensure technology decisions are made in close collaboration
  • Managing our technology budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Developing and implementing technology solutions to support our business strategy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive technology leadership experience, preferably in a large-scale SaaS environment
  • First-hand knowledge of supervising development of software solutions
  • Exposure to main open-source development frameworks (Java Spring, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Camel, Json, AMQ, Spring Data Mapping, RESTful Web Services, MongoDB or other NoSQL database)
  • Good knowledge of SaaS architectures, web-based systems architecture, enterprise application architecture
  • Understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design, and implementations, including Platform as a Service (PaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models using AWS or Azure stacks
  • Extensive knowledge of data capture, processing, and valorisation at scale in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated passion for building an exciting environment to work in, which attracts, develops, and retains A-players
  • Expertise in operational technology management in an international environment, including interaction with European-based subsidiaries and partners
  • A hands-on collaborator, able to span the demands of strategic projects and operational detail with ease
  • Strong commercial acumen, clear creative abilities, analytical orientation, high energy, and resilience with exceptional organisational and influencing skills
