Job Title: Commercial Manager

Job Summary

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities across London, Essex, and Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for projects with values of £2m-£20m, including regeneration schemes, junction improvements, and infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project commercial start-up procedures across the region.
  • Line manage the regional commercial team.
  • Procure materials and off-site services efficiently, adhering to Taylor Woodrow's procurement policy.
  • Prepare work package contents sheets and ensure project team contributions.
  • Prepare inclusive invitations to tender and conduct thorough evaluations.
  • Work with the supply chain to promote continuous improvement in cost, quality, and learning.
  • Maximise cash flow through timely valuations, invoice submission, and payment receipt.
  • Manage final accounts, including variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Develop a strategy for concluding client negotiations.
  • Review plant and equipment schedules for efficiency.
  • Produce accurate and timely CVR reports and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in quantity surveying or commercial management.
  • Previous experience managing commercial activities across multiple infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on NEC contracts is essential.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership is advantageous.
