Job Title: Mental Health Youth Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Youth Specialist to join our team at Ontario Shores Centre for MHS. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with adolescents with mental illness, providing evaluation, assessment, and therapeutic interventions in a recovery-focused model of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide life skills training to support independence and coping skills.
  • Assist in a classroom or day treatment setting, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Participate in family therapy and ongoing therapies, fostering strong relationships with families and community agencies.
  • Take on a coordinating role on a rotating basis, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.

Requirements:
  • A Child and Youth Worker Diploma is essential for this position.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR-HCP is required.
  • You must have knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, Mental Health policies, and relevant legislation.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
