Cranleigh STEM, Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment is partnering with a pioneering sustainable packaging organisation in Buckinghamshire to find a Commercial Manager to lead their customer service and sales teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership in building sales strategies to increase customer engagement and turnover within the food, FMCG, and pharmaceutical packaging sectors.

To be considered, you should possess proven commercial sales experience within the food, FMCG, and/or pharmaceutical packaging sectors, team leadership, and strategic planning. A degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the customer service and field sales teams; foster a collaborative culture; conduct performance reviews and provide training.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the food and pharmaceutical industries; collaborate with finance, production, and supply chain for accurate sales forecasts; drive profitability.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty; oversee customer engagement initiatives; address and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns; implement process improvements for operational efficiency; stay informed on industry trends.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance to the Managing Director; analyse sales data for improvement opportunities; prepare reports and strategic plans.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally in food, FMCG, or pharmaceutical packaging sectors; proven success in sales strategy development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strategic thinker, results-oriented, adaptable, with high integrity and professionalism.
