About the Role

Aston Charles is assisting a prestigious global insurance broker in finding an experienced Commercial Account Executive to work within its specialist Housing Association Division on a fully home-based contract.

The team is well-renowned in this specialist arena and its client base comprises many of the top housing associations in the country; some with as many as 130,000 units within their property portfolio.

This rare position has come about as a result of significant growth of the account; the division has enjoyed phenomenal success over the last few years and has won many major housing association clients within the last 18 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inherit a book of approximately 25 loyal clients, who tend to be on long-term agreements of up to 5 years
  • Work with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to introduce other ancillary services and specialists to clients
  • Meet with clients regularly to discuss their insurance programs and provide updates
Requirements
  • Experience in Property & Casualty / Commercial Combined insurance
  • Ability to converse effectively with and gain credibility from sophisticated insurance buyers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to attend meetings at the company's head office in Reading, once a fortnight on average
