Physiotherapist - Paediatric/Adult Learning Disability Transition

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Paediatric and Adult Learning Disability Transition service. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and working in a supportive environment to acquire and develop knowledge and skills related to treating children and young people with disabilities in the community and school environment.
Main Responsibilities- Manage your own caseload in the community, covering schools, homes, day centres, and sports centres, with occasional cover on the acute paediatric wards at Glan Clwyd Hospital and community work in Denbighshire.
- Work with children and young people up to the age of 25 years who have a learning disability during their transition to the Community Adult Learning Disability team.
- Contribute to the supervision of support staff and students, and participate as a member of the wider multidisciplinary/joint agency teams supporting children and young people with disabilities.
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of CPD in Physiotherapy in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
- Membership of appropriate professional post-graduate training body
- Relevant Special/Clinical interest group membership
- Clinical educators course
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills in physiotherapy
- Ability to work autonomously within clinical area
- Able to lead and participate in team working and training
- Proven organisational skills including prioritisation and delegation
- Able to lead and motivate others within the team
- Physically fit and able to manually handle loads, including therapeutic handling, throughout most of the day
- Competency in report writing
- Ability to comprehend and work in accordance with the health board's Data Protection, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies
