Safety, Health, and Environment Manager Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Safety, Health, and Environment Manager to join our client, a large water utility company, on their Anglian Water contract.

This role involves safely delivering a range of programs from high volume low value to complex engineering projects. You will provide training and advice, encouraging the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with operatives and supervisors. You will also review risk assessments and method statements, verifying that temporary works are implemented safely.

You will assist in identifying safety training needs for site-based personnel and bring these to the attention of the Regional Health and Safety Manager. You will also cooperate with the Health and Safety Executive during their site visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safety training and advice to operatives and supervisors
  • Review risk assessments and method statements
  • Identify safety training needs for site-based personnel
  • Cooperate with the Health and Safety Executive during site visits
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH National Diploma or Safety-related degree
  • MEICA experience
  • Experience in delivering continuous improvement in health and safety performance
