Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Howden, A Chart Industries Company. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating equipment across various customer sites in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine service, repair, installation, and commissioning of rotating equipment in compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to control on-site activities and provide technical support pertinent to installation, commissioning, and service/repair.
  • Prepare and issue all documentation relative to processing of on-site activities – daily reports, visit reports, site communications, time-sheets, and commissioning documents.
  • Carry out on-site analysis of machinery and provide condition reports with the aim of driving additional business through service upgrades/spare parts requirements, etc.
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of the business, supporting SHE, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.

Requirements:

  • Recognized engineering apprenticeship.
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience gained through working in as a multi-skilled service engineer in a rotating machinery industry.
  • Significant experience of working in a mechanical environment/industrial sites – Waster Water, PCOG, and Power Industry preferred.
  • Ability to self-manage in remote locations.
  • Frequent travel within the UK and worldwide.
