Senior Maintenance Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Surveyor to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance surveyors, monitoring works progress, and ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and safe for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage contractors and ensure they operate within contractual terms, making recommendations for improvements and implementing actions.
- Support the delivery of a cost-effective maintenance service by operating within financial policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Produce reports on surveying and contractor performance to enable issues to be addressed and resolved.
- Ensure health and safety and healthy working conditions are promoted within your area of responsibility.
- Attend monthly performance reviews with contractors, check invoicing, and ensure payments are made in line with contractual obligations.
- Manage the recruitment, performance, and development of quality staff to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the operational delivery of a cost-effective voids and medical adaptations service.
- Building-related degree or relevant professional qualification or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level.
- HNC in Building and Surveying or similar.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a building and surveying environment, with a good working knowledge of building regulations, legislation, and current practice.
- Strong understanding of repairs processes.
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property-related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers.
- Working knowledge of legislations and best practice.
- Ability to extract and interpret computerized information and documentation.
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages.
- This role will involve driving on company business, requiring a full valid UK driving license.
