Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Year 5 students in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. As an experienced teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons and promoting a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Plan and deliver creative, interactive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
  • • Assess and track pupils’ learning and progress, providing support and feedback to help each child thrive.
  • • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about pupils’ progress and address any concerns proactively.
  • • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity in pupil learning and uphold school values.


Main Requirements:
  • • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for primary teaching.
  • • Experience in teaching Year 5 or a similar age group.
  • • Strong classroom presence, able to build rapport with pupils quickly and manage the classroom effectively.
  • • Flexible and adaptable, ready to jump into a new setting and provide high-quality teaching and support.
  • • Collaborative approach to work, building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
