About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, a leading engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the built environment sector. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering successful projects from inception to completion, working closely with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest level of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver mechanical systems for a range of project types and sizes, including science and research laboratories, leisure, residential, commercial, and high-end mixed-use developments.
  • Produce detailed designs and drawings using the latest digital techniques and software, including CAD and computer modeling tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design coordination and project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage small projects and take responsibility for design coordination with other disciplines and professionals.
Requirements
  • Expected or achieved 2.1 or above IMechE or CIBSE accredited degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Master's or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
  • Understanding of CAD or similar modeling software is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Friendly, ambitious, and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
