Job Summary

Mitie is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Professional to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake all necessary training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to all Mitie policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
  • Maintain the designated area to a high standard of cleanliness, carrying out daily, weekly, and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
  • Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
  • Always maintain security, locking doors and following lost property procedures.
  • Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
  • Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
  • Set a good example in terms of dress, behavior, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Cleaning experience is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team.
  • Capable of working to their own initiative where appropriate.
  • Be open and honest.
  • Be self-driven and determined.
  • Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.
