Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join Alumet's team in a leading façade contractor.

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Assistant Site Managers, Logistics Operatives, and sub-contractors/supply chain partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and managing site operations, including labour, plant, and materials control.
  2. Liaising with sub-contractors, suppliers, and Head Office to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Ensuring daily and weekly site records are accurate and up to date, including Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality control documents.
  4. Managing Health and Safety on site, following safe systems of work and relevant procedures.
  5. Controlling PPE issue and ensuring site controls to protect the environment are followed.
  6. Carrying out disciplinary procedures as required, in accordance with Alumet's procedures.
  7. Ensuring all necessary checks and forms are completed prior to any work being undertaken.
  8. Managing own workload in conjunction with Senior Site Manager and Contracts Manager.
  9. Continual review of methods of work, alternative materials, etc., to maximise commercial profitability.
  10. Providing aftercare services to clients.
  11. Leading all site meetings in conjunction with Senior Site Manager/Contracts Manager.

Requirements:

  1. High degree of initiative.
  2. High level of leadership and management skills.
  3. Technical experience and knowledge.
  4. Commercial and financial ability.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  6. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  7. Valid site qualifications, including current CSCS card (black or gold) and SMSTS.
  8. Design background desirable.
  9. Experience in Team leadership.
  10. Proven track record of site managing large building envelope contracts – curtain walling, rain screen cladding, windows.
