Exciting Opportunity:

This is a fantastic chance for a skilled Software Engineer to join the Future Systems MIDAS Team. As a key member of the team, you will work within an Agile framework and utilize model-based system engineering techniques to create the MIDAS product.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the engineering planning activities
  2. Liaise with MIDAS Systems & Test Engineers
  3. Software Design
  4. Software Code
  5. Software Test
  6. Safety & Security
  7. Supervision and support to junior team members

Requirements:

  1. Experience of integration within a delivery programme for Systems and Software
  2. A working knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle and associated governance
  3. Knowledge or awareness of Model Based Engineering tools (Cameo)
  4. Experience or awareness of Agile methodology supported by the Atlassian toolset would be advantageous
  5. Previous Experience within the Mission management and Autonomy fields is advantageous
  6. Requirements Management (DOORS)
  7. System Definition (SysML/CAMEO)
  8. Data Modelling
  9. System/Software (SysML/UML)
  10. Software Coding (C++/Misra C++)
  11. Auto Code Generation

Skills:

  1. System /Software Re-Use - the candidate should be able to demonstrate
  2. Willingness to tackle difficult problems with a steep learning curve

Qualifications: You must be a degree qualified (or equivalent) engineer in one of the STEM disciplines, preferably with Systems and Software Engineering awareness.
