We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at a Long Term Care facility in Claremont, NH. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Deliver basic nursing and restorative care to residents, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- Attend report prior to starting resident care and maintain open communication with licensed personnel regarding significant observations and resident needs.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, while administering specified skin care treatments according to facility protocol.
- Provide assistance with ambulation, movement, and nutrition, including feeding, hydration, toileting, and bowel/bladder training.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and residents by responding to emergency situations, redirecting wandering/confused residents, and preventing resident falls.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy, adhering to established nursing standards and policies.
- Identify and utilize infection control techniques, respect residents' spiritual beliefs, and encourage participation in care activities.
- 3 years of current experience in a Long Term Care setting, with a strong focus on providing high-quality care.
- Ability to float to any unit/floor as needed, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Previous travel experience and rural/small facility experience are highly preferred.
- BLS (AHA) certification is required.
- New Hampshire state license is required.
