We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our client's chemical manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Specification and Repair: Develop detailed technical specifications for plant instrument equipment and repairs, ensuring that all work is planned, approved, and completed to the required standard.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to the plant team and take an active role in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Reliability Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities to achieve the current and future capacity, variable costs, and product quality.
- Safety and Risk Management: Provide technical input to safety reviews, safety committees, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Life Cycle Management: Maintain and update the area I&E life plan, ensuring timely recommendation of CAPEX replacement and repair.
- Engineering Assessment: Conduct thorough I&E engineering assessment of plant modifications to mitigate engineering risks.
- Education: Hold a minimum HND in Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience: Hold substantial Instrumentation Engineering experience working in a 24/7 industrial environment, including support maintenance, complex fault finding, operations, and project management.
- Professional Membership: Be a member of a professional body with or working towards Incorporated Engineer status.
- Industry Experience: 5 years of industry experience in the Upper Tier COMAH manufacturing sector is desirable.
- Technical Knowledge: Have knowledge of functional safety, IEC 61508 and 61511 standards, SIL Assessment, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
- System Knowledge: Have knowledge of MOD300 and Delta V DCS Systems.
