Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Our client, a leading global chemical manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced I&E Engineer to join their team at Hartlepool. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maximizing plant availability by optimizing and improving reliability performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Specification and Repair Management: Develop detailed technical specifications for plant instrument equipment and repairs, ensuring that repairs are planned, approved, and completed to the required standard.
- Technical Support and Problem-Solving: Provide technical I&E engineering support to the plant team, taking an active role in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Reliability Improvement and Continuous Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and reliability improvement techniques, driving continuous improvement of the plant's reliability performance by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
- Safety Reviews and Risk Assessments: Provide technical input to safety reviews, safety committees, risk assessments, and incident investigations, completing appropriate actions arising from these.
- Plant Modifications and Assessments: Ensure thorough I&E engineering assessment of plant modifications, evaluating changes to technology, plant operating and maintenance methods, plant equipment, or staffing to mitigate engineering risks.
Requirements:
- A minimum HND in Instrumentation Engineering.
- Substantial Instrumentation Engineering experience working in a 24/7 industrial environment, including:
- Supporting Operations & PM Planning.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating improvements and modifications (Management of Change).
- Involvement in projects from feasibility to handover.
